The Plug-in and COTA SA worked together to explore what life is like in the South Australian coastal town of Victor Harbor.

The City of Victor Harbor has the highest proportion of people aged 65 years and over in the state and we wanted to know more about this region and the people living there directly from the local residents.

What was involved

We invited residents of Victor Harbor to participate in a workshop and contribute their experiences of living in Victor Harbor and their ideas for the future. The workshop involved a casual discussion about what life is like in Victor Harbor, explored topics such as local services and cost of living — topics that residents hold the key to understanding.

The workshop was 90 minutes in duration and participants received a $50 gift card in recognition of their involvement. Light refreshments were also provided.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the workshop, participants must:

  • Be aged 50+
  • Live in the City of Victor Harbor council region
  • Be able to attend a 90-minute workshop on Thursday 12 March 2020 in a central Victor Harbor location

We thank everyone who participated in the workshop — your contributions are greatly valued!
