Whether you are retired, approaching retirement, or remaining in the labour-force we encourage you to consider participating in a new project for The Plug-in. This national research project aims to understand how unforeseen events, such as the COVID19 pandemic and resulting economic downturns and psychological impacts influence the financial planning decisions of Australians aged 55 and over.
The Plug-in is very pleased to be working with a consortium of researchers from UNISA Business School, RMIT and Edith Cowan University. We would like to speak with people from a cross-section of the population including those whose retirement income is or will be from the age pension, from a self-funded income or a combination of both. We are particularly interested in how the COVID19 crisis relates to current and future retirement plans and whether it may affect your decision to retire, what you are doing or planning to do while you are retired, or how you live.
This research project will be conducted by researchers from the consortium via phone discussions so you can take part from the comfort of your home via a mobile or home phone. Participants and their contribution will not be identified and your personal details will remain confidential within COTA SA. If selected, The Plug-in will email you all the details you need to be part of the project.
Am I eligible?
As with all our projects, The Plug-in has a range of selection criteria for participants.
For this project, we are looking for people who are:
- Aged 55+ and from one of the following locations:
– Metropolitan and Regional South Australia, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne or Sydney
- Be available for a 45-60 minute phone discussion in September/October
If you are selected to take part in this project, you will receive a $30 giftcard in recognition of your involvement!
