The Plug-in has partnered with COTA Australia and the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) to understand the experiences of receiving aged care services at home for older Australians.

If you are currently seeking or receiving aged care services at home – or if you help care or support someone who does – we want to understand what this has been like for you.

Sharing your experience will help inform COTA Australia and OPAN’s advocacy to Federal government to help improve experiences.

By sharing your experience, you can help us understand:

  • what works well for people receiving support services at home
  • what feels confusing, frustrating, or hard
  • what could be improved in the future

The best way to understand aged care services at home is to hear directly from people using it.

The survey is short and should take 5 to 10 minutes to complete online. If you would like to complete the survey over the phone, please contact COTA SA on (08) 8232 0422 or free call for country caller 1800 182 324.

As part of this project, we will also be conducting 30-60 minute interviews with people who are seeking or receiving aged care services at home. We will use the interviews to develop case studies to be used in COTA A and OPAN’s advocacy work. There is an opportunity in the survey for you to register your interest in participating in the interview stage of research.

Your experience will help make sure the voices of older people and carers are heard by the government.

This survey is being led by The Plug-in, COTA SA, on behalf of COTA Australia and OPAN.

Responses are anonymous in line with COTA SA’s privacy policy.
