Since 2017, ACH Group, in partnership with The Plug-in, has been listening to the experiences and needs of people living in the northern suburbs of Adelaide to understand what types of accommodation, living arrangements, and services people want to access in their neighbourhood.
This work has been vital to ensuring the new Healthia precinct, located next to the Lyell McEwin Hospital, is designed in conjunction with community and truly meets their health, wellbeing and social needs.
Following Phase 3, ACH Group has been considering community feedback and preliminary building designs are now complete and service partnerships are taking shape..
Phase 4 of the project is commencing in January 2019 and will specifically explore the Health Studio 50+ within the Healthia precinct.
In addition to re-engaging with participants from Phases 1, 2 + 3, The Plug-in is seeking further interest from people living in northern Adelaide who are interested in improving access to health education, allied health services, fitness and rehabilitation services. We are keen to talk with people who are managing a chronic condition or illness, have a disability and /or provide support as a carer.
