The Plug-in has partnered with the Caring Futures Institute at Flinders University to support recruitment for exploring a short, health-related ‘quality of life’ questionnaire named EQ-5D-5L. This questionnaire is used to understand how people are feeling and functioning in their everyday lives.

We are seeking older South Australians aged 65 and over.

Why be involved?

This widely used questionnaire has not yet been tested with older Australians. Flinders University researchers are looking to explore how the questionnaire suits the needs of the older population. Participation is simple, just a 30-60 minute in-person interview with a researcher where you will complete the questionnaire and provide feedback.

To be involved you will need to be:

  • Living in South Australia (metropolitan Adelaide or remote/regional/rural SA)
  • Aged 65 years or over
  • Interested to share your experiences to improve health research and assessments

If selected, you:

  • Will take part in a 30–60-minute face-to-face interview with Flinders University researchers.
  • Will complete the ‘quality of life’ questionnaire and share your experience as part of the interview.
  • Can claim a $25 gift card as honorarium to thank you for your time and participation.
  • Can withdraw your participation or stop at any time, and you choose what happens to your information.

Recruitment survey closes Thursday, 29 October 2026.

Participation is voluntary and confidential. All shared information will be de-identified and used only for research, in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles.

This research has been approved by Flinders University’s Human Research Ethics Committee (Project ID 9933).
