The Plug-in partnered with COTA Australia and the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) to understand the experiences of receiving aged care services at home for older Australians.
Anyone currently seeking or receiving aged care services at home – or caring or supporting someone who does – were invited to share what the experience has been like for them.
Insights from this project informed COTA Australia and OPAN’s advocacy to Federal government to help improve experiences.
By sharing your experience, participants helped understand:
- what works well for people receiving support services at home
- what feels confusing, frustrating, or hard
- what could be improved in the future
The best way to understand aged care services at home is to hear directly from people using it.
Participants completed a short online survey to share their experience.
As part of this project, The Plug-in also conducted 30-60 minute interviews with people who were seeking or receiving aged care services at home or those caring or supporting for. Interviews were used to develop case studies to be used in COTA A and OPAN’s advocacy work.
Your experience will help make sure the voices of older people and carers are heard by the government.
This survey was led by The Plug-in, COTA SA, on behalf of COTA Australia and OPAN.
Responses are anonymous in line with COTA SA’s privacy policy.
