The Australian Government’s My Aged Care website underwent a redevelopment in 2019 and The Plug-in was been engaged to help test the new website before it launched to the general public.
We reached out to our influencers and family members involved in their care and asked them to spend 15 to 20 minutes online, exploring the new website and then sharing their experience, feedback and insights through an online survey.
This project presented a unique and important opportunity to influence the My Aged Care website and ultimately help make it easier for people to get the answers they need about access to aged care services.
As with all our projects, The Plug-in has a range of selection criteria for participants. To be eligible for this particular project, participants must have been:
• Aged 65 or over
• Aged under 65 and involved in exploring or arranging aged care services for a family member or friend
• Available to complete the testing and feedback process online prior to 21 June 2019.
The My Aged Care team wanted to hear from a variety of people who are either just starting the process of accessing aged care services through to those people who were already receiving services. Our participating influencers were from across this spectrum which provided balanced experiences and feedback about the new website.
Thank you to everyone who tested the new My Aged Care website — your participation is greatly valued and will be used to influence how people access information related to aged care services via the My Aged Care website in the future.
